AT&Tâs Rising Future Makers supports HBCU students who are making change in their community, giving 25 recipients $5,000 grants, mentorship, and networking opportunities that actually open doors.
Our job was to get students to apply. The strategy focused on why HBCU students choose their schools and the answer is never just academics. It's the people. The culture. The legacy. The community standing right beside them. That loyalty runs deep, and it shapes everything. So we built a people-first approach that put RFM alumni, celebrity advocates, and HBCU faculty at the center.
To drive awareness, we identified HBCU Homecoming as the biggest cultural moment on the calendar and rather than interrupting the culture, we showed up inside it.
